It's always more fun to walk with someone and the success of Walk to D'Feet ALS depends on you! Take the first step by forming a Walk Team... Walk Teams consist of five or more people who gather together to walk and raise funds to support local programs and services of the ALS Association. Funds are raised through a letter-writing (or e-mail!) campaign with easy-to-follow samples and tips provided by The ALS Association. Walk Teams can consist of family members, friends, co-workers and neighbors - anyone with a desire to walk and/or raise money to help those affected by ALS. All routes are wheelchair accessible. Family-based teams are a great way for families, friends and co-workers to show a person with ALS that they are not alone. Letter-writing/e-mail campaigns can help families raise thousands of dollars for their team and the fight against ALS. Contact us for more information on how to organize your family team today! Businesses can also organize teams to take part in The ALS Association's Walk to D'Feet ALS. It's a great way for a company to show its support for an employee or their family member who has ALS. Organizing a walk team builds company morale and instills a strong sense of team spirit. It's also a great way to show the community that the company is a caring, involved corporate citizen. You will be amazed by the amount of support people will give you - most walkers easily raise $100 or more. Set your personal fundraising goal and let your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers take the lead in the ALS Association's Walk to D'Feet ALS. Take a BIGGER step...ask your employer if your company has a matching gifts program. A matching gifts program can double your pledge and bring you closer to your goal.
