As the new president of
the Board of Trustees of the ALS Association, I want to share with you the
vision for the future. Our mission, to improve the lives of those living
with ALS while we search for a cure, remains the same. However, we intend
to work hard to reach more families with a wider range of services. We have some exciting plans for the coming year. One of our top priorities is the implementation of a Respite Program to help families cope with the stresses of their everyday life. Additionally, we will expand our Patient Services program by funding a full-time Patient Services Coordinator to accomodate the growing needs of the families we serve. And finally, we will increase our interaction with our families and actively search for new and non-traditional ways to be of service. These are ambitious plans and we will need your help to succeed.
