131 questionnaires developed by the South Texas Chapter of The ALS Association and completed by families who have worked or lived at Kelly and have been diagnosed with ALS have been turned over to the epidemiologists at Brooks Air Force Base in San Antonio. The Air Force at Brooks is coordinating two studies, one a mortality study and one a case series. Both studies are underway.

The 131 families have been contacted by the Air Force, and have been given the opportunity to participate in the case series study. Both studies should be completed in 2002.
