I am pleased to share with you that The ALS Association will be assisting the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation in forming a new Paralysis Task Force. This new coalition will be an integral part of the vision and direction of the soon to be established Christopher and Dana Paralysis Resource Center. The Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation began its partnership with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention in order to establish a Paralysis Resource Center to help make these resources library, a searchable web site, surveillance activities on paralysis by subpopulation, and current and future education material. The center will also have a comprehensive paralysis resource guide, information specialists to advise the public and professionals and support for health promotion activities to improve the quality of life and daily living. |
